Mobility Rentals FAQ
At Freedom Mobility Rentals, we’re here to make scooter and power chair rentals across the Dallas–Fort Worth area simple and stress-free. Below you’ll find answers to our most common questions about delivery, pricing, and how rentals work. If you need more help, our team is just a call or text away!
We proudly serve much of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, including Lewisville, Flower Mound, Highland Village, Grapevine, Coppell, Frisco, and Plano. We also deliver to surrounding cities such as Irving, Carrollton, and Hebron.
If you’re located just outside the DFW area, reach out — we can often arrange delivery for an additional fee.
Yes! We handle both delivery and pickup for every rental. Whether you’re at home, staying in a hotel, or attending an event, we’ll bring your mobility scooter or power chair directly to you and pick it back up when you’re finished.
Delivery and pickup is included for free with each rental, covering convenient pickup and drop-off across the DFW metroplex. If you're outside of our normal service area, we can typically still arrange for delivery and pickup but for an additional fee.
For most rentals - delivery is covered at $0, which covers both pickup and drop-off at your home, hotel or event venue.
If you’re staying at a hotel, we’ll typically coordinate with the front desk to leave your scooter for you upon arrival — and you can simply return it to them when your rental ends.
We prefer deliveries scheduled as early as possible as we do not typically do same-day delivery. As always though, we try and accommodate as best as we can depending on availability and location.
Booking your scooter rental is quick and simple. Just call, text, or complete our contact form, and we’ll confirm your delivery details, finalize your paperwork, and ensure your scooter is cleaned, charged, and ready to go when you need it.
Our rentals typically require a 3-day minimum, but we try and be flexible to accommodate your needs.
Each mobility scooter and power chair easily disassembles into four or five lightweight pieces (depending on if it's a scooter or power chair), making it simple to load into most cars, SUVs, or vans. It takes just a minute to break down and reassemble. Additionally, there are videos on our 'Mobility Rentals' page under each mobility product.
You can enjoy your scooter almost anywhere — around your home, neighborhood, shopping centers, or event venues. Just make sure to avoid steep hills or rough terrain like gravel, deep grass, or sand for the smoothest and safest ride.
Most scooters last an entire day of normal use on a single charge. Actual battery life depends on terrain, rider weight, and usage time — but every scooter is fully charged and tested before delivery to ensure dependable performance all day long.
Recharging is simple — just connect the charger to the scooter’s battery port and plug the other end into any standard wall outlet. For best results, we recommend charging overnight so it’s ready for a full day of use and not leaving on the charger for beyond 8 hours.
Your battery charger is conveniently stored in a pouch on the back of the seat. This makes it easy to access whenever you need to plug in and recharge.
At Freedom Mobility Rentals, we like to keep things simple and transparent for all of our DFW customers:
Cancellations made more than 72 hours before delivery – No charge.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of delivery – A $35 cancellation fee will apply.
Early returns: Once your mobility scooter or power chair has been delivered, no refunds (partial or full) will be issued for early returns, regardless of the reason. You are responsible for the full rental period as stated in your rental agreement.
We value your business and appreciate your understanding — our policies help ensure reliable scheduling and availability for all customers across the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

To rent a scooter or power chair, you must be at least 18 years old. A parent or legal guardian may rent equipment for a minor but must first notify Freedom Mobility Rentals and agree that the child will operate the scooter only under direct supervision. The legal guardian accepts full responsibility for any damage, accident, or injury that may occur while the equipment is in use.
